Stephanie Knox Fisher
Practice Manager
Stephanie Knox Fisher recently relocated to Illinois with her husband, Joey, and their two young sons (ages 2 and 6) after many years living in the mountains of Colorado, where she served as Practice Manager for two emergency and general practice veterinary hospitals.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in 2010 and has worked in the veterinary field since 2013, with roots in animal welfare dating back to her volunteer work in shelters beginning in 2002. Over the years, she has worked as a veterinary technician, surgical technician, shift lead, and practice manager since 2017.
While Stephanie has always loved working directly with animals, she has found her greatest passion in supporting the people who care for them. She is known for her calm, steady presence and for creating supportive, team-focused environments where both patients and staff can thrive.
At home, her family includes two ferrets, Super Rat and Nibbler, and a bearded dragon named Lizzy (also known as “Red Cutter,” according to her 6-year-old). They are looking forward to welcoming a dog back into the family when life with two young boys becomes a bit less chaotic.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, camping, and swimming—when she’s not busy trying to keep up with her two young boys.
